Fractional and full size violin bows

A good bow is considered as important as the instrument itself. One should not neglect the importance of owning a good and suitable bow. It helps the player to achieve different tone colours, techniques and shaping of musical phrases. However, there is no “best bow” but only to find a bow that draws the best sound out of the instrument and also the ease of making that sound. The effect that a bow has on your instrument is determined on the sound it creates. It may dampen the sound or resonate with the instrument to make it sing. The aim is to find the perfect combination between the bow, the instrument and the player.
